This remote temperature monitor includes a 4G communication module and a sensor that measures whether the temperature falls below the critical value. This allows you to prevent frost damage to fruit trees by taking timely measures. The temperature alarm continuously monitors the temperature and records any changes. You can set the alarm temperature yourself and receive a phone call or SMS message if frost danger is imminent. You can set and modify the MIN and MAX values for the alarm temperature yourself. If these limits are exceeded, the night frost alarm sends an SMS message with the current temperature at the location.
Applications
Temperature alarm in the open air
The night frost alarm is housed in a waterproof box, with a sensor from which you can pull out the cable about 70 cm. No other wiring is required, because the batteries are also located in the box. It is therefore very easy to switch from one location to another, because this temperature alarm is not dependent on mains power. Optionally, it is possible to choose a mains adapter, which will also send a notification in the event of a power outage.
SIM card for temperature alarm
The wireless night frost alarm includes a 4G communication module that can be used with any regular SIM card. It is compatible with both subscription and prepaid cards. To receive an alarm, you can enter 1 to 5 different numbers, both for GSM and a landline. You can also choose a subscription plan with the provider, which also gives you access to an internet portal where you can view the recorded values. Here again, you receive notifications from the device such as power outages.
Night frost alert to GSM & internet portal**
In case of freezing danger, the night frost 4G communication device sends a (self-set by you) SMS message and/or an alarm call. In an alarm situation, up to 5 different phone numbers can be called. As soon as one of them accepts the alarm call, the calls to other numbers stop automatically. It is also possible to see the current status in an internet portal**
Operates on batteries
The Nightfrost 4G communication device operates on batteries and automatically notifies when they are almost empty. The batteries are included in the delivery and last for 1 year under normal use. If you choose the optional power adapter, the lifespan is extended to 3 years.

It is also suitable for other applications, thanks to its space temperature range and weatherproof housing. Think, for example, of storage rooms for vegetables and fruit. For this purpose, you can place the housing on a wall. The detector includes functions for alarm texts of your choice and alarm repetition or delay. You can operate it with your smartphone; so without connecting a laptop or wiring. With a normal SIM card (provider of your choice), it is immediately ready for use. TIP: With your own mobile phone, you can check in advance whether the signal from the mobile network is strong enough at the desired location.

Added value SIM/portal
As a SIM card, we advise activating the supplied Mobeye SIM card. This allows the device to communicate via both 4G LTE-M and 2G and is “multi-provider”. It selects the strongest local network, has excellent penetration capability and therefore provides a reliable connection. With the Mobeye SIM card, the device is also connected to the Mobeye Portal and the Mobeye Messages app. This provides extra security and user-friendliness. The status of one or more devices can be seen at a glance on the dashboard. Programming is done online, the receipt of test messages is checked automatically, and in the event of problems, contacts are alerted via app, call, text message and/or email. Forwarding to an alarm receiving centre (ARC) is also possible. The SIM card costs €4/month* excl. VAT (flat fee for normal use), (annual) payment is online, or -upon request- by invoice. A personal SIM card is also possible (NL: KPN or Vodafone, NOT T-Mobile or subsidiaries). The device will then work (solely) via 2G and the Mobeye Portal functions will cease to apply. In the event of an alarm, it will call and/or text (to a maximum of 5 numbers). Please note that a pay-as-you-go card expires if it is not used for too long.
