The Wegdekensor Tekmar T3356 is an advanced combined sensor for detecting both temperature and moisture in road surfaces. This combination makes it possible to accurately detect ice, sleet, and snow, so that a road heating system is only activated when it is actually needed.
The sensor is made of robust brass (bronze) housing and is designed for fixed installation in concrete, asphalt, street paving or brickwork. Thanks to its high mechanical load resistance and IP68 classification, the sensor is suitable for long-term use in heavily loaded outdoor environments.
The Tekmar T3356 is used in combination with a Tekmar road deck heating system and together they form a reliable solution for energy-efficient ice and snow-free maintenance of driveways, ramp sections and other traffic surfaces.
Product application
The road deck sensor Tekmar T3356 is suitable for:
- Roadway heating in access roads and uphill sections
- Parking spaces, loading bays and parking areas
- Situations where automatic smoothness detection is required
- Installations where energy consumption must remain limited to periods of actual snow or ice formation
The sensor measures temperature and humidity simultaneously, so the heating does not turn on in dry frost, but only in conditions that lead to ice formation.
