Product description
The Pt1000 strap-on sensor (Pt1000 pipe sensor) is a precise temperature sensor specifically designed for measuring surface temperatures on tubes, pipes and conduits. The sensor operates on the Pt1000 resistance principle (1000 Ω at 0 °C) and requires no supply voltage, which ensures a reliable and interference-free measurement.
The sensor tip is made of aluminium and features a notch, ensuring a good mechanical fit and optimal thermal contact with the pipe surface. Installation is easily carried out using an adjustable metal clamp, which secures the sensor tightly against the surface.
The Pt1000 strap-on sensor is suitable for temperature measurements up to +105 °C and is widely used in combination with Pt1000-compatible thermostats and temperature controllers.
Product application
This Pt1000 strap-on sensor is ideal for applications where the temperature of pipes needs to be measured indirectly (via the surface), such as:
- Temperature measurement on water and heating pipes
- Control engineering for heating and heating cable systems
- Temperature detection on tubes and pipes in installations
Installation tip: for a horizontal pipe, preferably mount the sensor on the top for a representative measurement. The 2-wire signal cable can be extended up to a maximum of 50 metres if necessary.
