Product description
Power outlet thermostat for switching on
With this thermostat in place heating tape and the power outlet automatically activates the frost protection as soon as the ambient temperature drops below the set value.
Applications
In general, for protecting pipes against freezing, an activation temperature of +3…+5 °C is desirable. (At higher temperatures, the heating element will therefore not consume electricity)
The display of the socket thermostat shows the temperature you have set yourself. As soon as it gets colder in the room, there will be a power surge on the outlet. The plugged-in heater will then be activated and start heating the water pipe. At that moment, the current (measured) temperature will appear on the display.
This power outlet thermostat can only be used if the heating cable (or any other form of electric heating) is located in the same room. For example, it’s useful to keep the water pipes in the garage frost-free, with a minimum of power consumption without the risk of forgetting to plug it in in time…
Other applications: using auxiliary heating, for example a radiant heater, in a caravan, boat or other unheated space.
Tip: The operation is very simple and by experimenting with a dim light you’ll quickly get the hang of it!
Please note: this thermostat is not suitable for a humid environment, such as a barn. Choose one for that purpose. frost switch.
