The 11SRF constant wattage heating cable is an efficient solution for frost protection of pipes and installations. The cable is available with an integrated clixon (thermostat) or as a version without a clixon in combination with an external temperature control. This allows the cable to be used flexibly for various applications.
Version with clixon (thermal switch)
The 11SRF with clixon automatically switches the heating cable on and off based on the ambient temperature. The clixon automatically switches the heating cable on when the ambient temperature drops to +3°C and switches it off again when the temperature rises to +12°C. When the cable is switched on, it delivers its full output. Outside this range, the cable will hardly heat or not heat at all. The clixon is located at the end of the cable.
This version is suitable for standard frost protection of pipes where no separate external control is required.
Important:
The cable with clixon is exclusively suitable for installation around the pipe. When placed inside a pipe, the clixon may not function optimally and an external control may still be required.
Please note: The heating cable must not be crossed. This can cause the cable to overheat and become damaged.
Version without thermal cut-out (constant power)
The 11SRF without thermal cut-out is a constant-wattage heating cable. This means that the cable outputs the same power along its entire length, regardless of the ambient temperature.
Because the version without a clixon continuously emits heat, an external thermostat or control is required.
The version without a thermal cutout can be used in combination with a suitable external controller for internal pipe tracing.
