The FV‑10 self-regulating heating cable is the perfect solution for effectively protecting pipes, drains and other vulnerable components from frost. This heating cable automatically adjusts its heat output to the ambient temperature: the colder it gets, the more heat it delivers. This keeps everything frost-free, without the risk of overheating.

The cable is plug-ready, easy to install and suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Smart self-regulating technology

Thanks to the self-regulating principle, the heating cable can never get too hot. In cold zones, the power increases automatically, while in warmer areas it is actually switched off. This makes this heating cable safe to use on both metal and plastic pipes, such as PVC and polyethylene.

The FV‑10 heating cable prevents damage caused by frost in, among other things:

In addition, the cable is perfectly suitable for use in humid environments such as basements, sheds, garages, stables, boats, caravans, holiday homes and greenhouses. It also helps to reduce moisture problems and the formation of mold.

Suitable for wet and drinking water applications

The high-quality connection between the connection cord and the heating element is fully waterproof. This makes the FV‑10 heating cable safe to use in wet conditions and even in or near drinking water pipes. The cable contains no substances that are harmful to drinking water.

Easy installation

• Plug & play: can be connected directly to a grounded outlet
• Can be applied overlapping or crossed
• Fixing with aluminum tape or insulating tape
• Optionally extendable with a plug‑in thermostat for indoor use

For optimal protection, we recommend insulating the pipes after installation to minimize heat loss.

Frost protection with proper installation

• Indoor: protection up to approximately -30 °C
• Outside: protection up to approximately -20 °C

These values apply to pipes with a diameter of up to 32 mm and a minimum insulation thickness of 20 mm. You can achieve extra safety by placing the cable spirally or back and forth along the pipe.
