Thermolint 25W | FV25

The Thermolint FV-25 (25 W/m) is a powerful, self-regulating heating cable specially designed for frost protection in wet outdoor applications. This heating cable effectively prevents the freezing of gutters, downpipes, drains and (plastic) water pipes, even under severe winter conditions.
Thanks to the self-regulating heating element, the heat tape automatically adjusts its heat output to the ambient temperature: the colder it gets or the more contact it has with snow and ice, the higher the heat output. This makes the tape safe against overheating, even when installed overlapping or crossed.
The Thermolint FV-25 is completely waterproof pre-assembled, fitted with a robust earthed plug and directly ready for use on a 230 V mains voltage.

Product application

The 25-watt thermal tape is suitable for, among other things:

• Guttering and downpipes (plastic and metal)
• Drains and sewer pipes
• (Plastic) water pipes with a larger diameter (approx. 75–110 mm)
• Heat pumps, HVAC units and air conditioning systems
• Water pipes to houseboats, for example

Example: with an FV-25 heating tape, applied to a pipe of Ø 110 mm with 20 mm insulation, protection can be provided down to approx. -30 °C.
