Waterproof brass passage for heating tape in water pipes
Product description
This brass through-pin is designed to safely install the FV‑10 heat-shrink type inside installing a water line. The conduit is equipped with a reliable rubber seal, which creates a watertight seal once the tape is inserted and the nut is turned.
The tap has a universal design and fits both 1/2″ (DN15) and 3/4″ (DN20) threaded connections, making it suitable for virtually any standard drinking water installation.
Application and assembly
For a correct and safe installation, the following procedure is recommended:
- Place a T-piece in the pipe that needs to be protected from freezing.
- Screw the feed nipple into the T-piece.
- Pass the heating wire through the nipple and turn the nut until the rubber seal tightly seals around the cable.
- Make sure that only the heating part of the strip is placed in the pipe. The connecting sleeve and the connecting cord must always remain outside the pipe.
This pipe fitting offers a durable and leak-free solution for the internal installation of heating tape in water pipes.
